The driveshaft yoke that connects to the 8" is different than the 7.25". Luckily my driveshaft was long enough that I could just have a new yoke welded on. We have a great local shop called Drivelines NW who will usually get it done the same day if you request it. The driveshaft needed to be 53" (that includes subtracting the 3/4" they recommend for play) from center of u-joint to center of u-joint. It's always safe to get the axle assembly installed and measure since each situation may vary. I guess if you just happen to have an early `62 tudor sedan with a `68 C4 then you could probably go with the 53" measurement. Next –––>
