Here's a shot of the valve body showing the side that is placed to the inside of the case. The two large holes on the right are where the oil enters and exits the unit. When installing the valve body, torque down the bolt between these 2 holes first and then do the bolts on either side of it. Then evenly work your way around both sides. Since there is no gasket where these large holes attach to the case, this procedure will assure a good seal. #1 shows the manual shift valve which your shift lever pushes to change gears. #2 indicates the kickdown valve which is pushed in by the kickdown lever. This will downshift the transmission during hard acceleration. Next –––>
