I've never been patient or organized enough to take photos while I'm in the midst of a project but these "after" photos will have to do. I'm very pleased with the results and find this modification extremely useful and stylish to boot. The chrome panels have some pits and have a few spots where the aluminum base metal is pretty deteriorated. I used some 0000 steel wool to clean up the chrome and it really made a world of difference. I removed what was left of the paint between the ribs with the steel wool and acetone (and a lot of elbow grease). Next –––>
