Now here's the kind of guy you want working on your 60`s transmission. Good ol' no nonsense Gil! This is the packaging from the Transgo shift kit I installed. I don't have any photos of that process but it was pretty simple. The kit consists of several color-coded springs, a small cone-shaped piece that is inserted in a passage on the oil pump, and a drill bit. It also has an instruction sheet that explains the entire process of installation as well as other techniques and adjustments to the transmission to improve performance. This kit is inexpensive and generally recommended during a rebuild as it will correct some inherent design flaws, improve oil flow, and improve some of the shift rates. Next –––>
